"New Democracy" has won the European elections for Greece with a deep margin from the opponents of SYRIZA, and according to current data, Fredi Beleri will be an MEP.
According to real-time results from the Ministry of the Interior, "New Democracy" is winning with 27.9% of the vote and leading by a double-digit margin, as SYRIZA received only 14.8%. In third place is PASOK with 12.9%, while Hellenic Solution and KKE are dueling for fourth place in these elections.
As far as specific names are concerned, the list is headed by journalist Giorgos Attias with 37,590 votes, followed by Vangelis Meimarakis (28,746) and Fredi Beleri (24,141. Then come Eliza Vozeberg, Manolis Kefalogiannis, Eleonora Meleti and Vassilis Kontozamanis). and the other minority, Pirro Dhima.
According to the projections of the Ministry of the Interior, seven parties will have MEPs in the new European Parliament. Currently, 87 percent of the votes have been counted and the signals are that Beleri can be a member of the European Parliament.

" There is certainty that Fredi will be an MEP. It's a big night for Himara. This is a vindication of Beler, for the eternal struggles of all Hellenism. History is written in golden letters ", he said.
But if Beleri is elected MEP then the Tirana-Athens conflict will be revived. Greece will accuse our country of keeping an MEP in prison and the pressure will increase for his release. His candidacy was not unintentional and it seems that Athens is adding fuel to the fire.
