The Mayor of Vlora, Ermal Dredha, has answered several questions regarding his relationship with the Prime Minister, after Edi Rama was seen debating with him during a visit to the Muradie neighborhood, regarding the release of public spaces in the coastal city.
Asked on "A2CNN" whether the dismissal of over 21 directors of the Vlora Municipality with a single stroke, after criticism from the prime minister, was fair, Dredha said that his request for their resignations came after an analysis of the work in the city.
" We do our best for the city and we demand the best for the city from the entire great team that the Municipality Administration has. If the calls have been frequent to set milestones, whether it be the organizational part or the daily work that any of the leaders in the Municipality Administration do, it is normal that we have done an analysis and see that there are things that can be done much better. This does not mean that we want to burn even the wet with the dry ", said Dredha.
Dredha added that a deep analysis in this regard is ongoing, "in order to avoid making any mistakes."
" No one has been fired, but a resignation has been requested, including from my side, and everyone has embraced it, there is no discussion. And then we will see how it will be implemented to the end, of course respecting all laws in force ," emphasized the mayor of Vlora.
