Instead of economic plans and normal governance, Edi Rama has chosen simulated unrest to maintain power, imitating Erdogan, while the new government remains in suspense like a "summer surprise" in the hat of the lone magician...
The entire storm started by Edi Rama in the country's large municipalities, as well as the problems of occupying public territories, is nothing more than a riot started from above.
It was not a development that came from the territories, because otherwise we would have had several phases of efforts or actions to resolve these issues. The case of Theth or the occupations of sidewalks in other cities have existed for a long time. The government had all the means and ways to act from the beginning of this phenomenon, taking calm and institutional measures, without causing clashes or dissatisfaction.
The way of acting and provoking this storm from above is typical of the authoritarian government of Edi Rama, who always seeks to appear as the savior who acts alone, while others do not work, but want to work behind his back. A mentality taken 'thread by thread' from the "modern" model of his political idol, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Edi Rama is not a politician who acts spontaneously. He drafts strategies with his advisors. But these strategies have nothing to do with economic development, welfare or foreign policy. The only objective is to strengthen and advance his personal power.
The construction problems in Theth should have been addressed from the beginning, with a solution without unrest. Even the dissatisfactions in the municipality could have been addressed without trauma, through dialogue with local leaders and not with statements in front of the cameras, to show that "Zeus can release his thunderbolts."
In a normal state, discussions about agriculture, tourism or the economy take place at tables with various actors, not with monologues from the prime minister. A normal state prepares plans with clear objectives and deadlines for implementation. Even the communist state made 5-year plans for the construction of hydroelectric power plants, factories, cultivated areas and agricultural production.
Edi Rama has no such objectives. He only aims to maintain power. And this is not done under normal conditions, but through simulated unrest and crises, so that he can emerge as the "only savior."
In normal times, problems would be discussed calmly. The voices of specialists and intellectuals, who in times of unrest are reluctant to speak, would be heard. But Edi Rama acts like an Ottoman mutasarif, concerned only with maintaining order and collecting taxes for the “sultan.”
The storm it is producing is a way to replace the scary news that usually comes from SPAK during July. It is a political soap opera that fills the screens, in the absence of the "Osman saga".
The next telenovela is expected to start in early August, when Edi Rama will suddenly, like a magician, bring out the new government for the fourth term. But he is afraid to announce it, so there are rumors that he will delay it until the fall. / Pamphlet
