Electoral campaign, Kodheli admits "clashes" between SP candidates:

The Socialist Party's candidate for deputy in Tirana, Mimi Kodheli, has commented on the political situation and the election campaign, as the country approaches the May 11 elections.

In an interview with "News24", she emphasized the importance of a fair reading of the vote, beyond issues of the Electoral Code.

" The Electoral Code is not important, but the way the vote is read. There are abuses, there is family voting, there are attempts to influence the voter without focusing on the values of the candidates or political forces ," declared Kodheli.

One of the innovations she considered positive was the participation of the diaspora in these elections. According to Kodheli, the vote of Albanians abroad will significantly affect the result, predicting that it will bring one more mandate to the Socialist Party in the capital.

Regarding the competition in the open list of candidates, Kodheli admitted that jealousy and competition exist within political forces, but described this as normal in an electoral process.

"There are always different interests within political forces. It is a process that I take calmly and that passes easily," she said.

Kodheli also added that, although the current electoral system is not perfect for maximizing votes, the main challenge remains respecting the law and managing the process correctly.

In conclusion, the SP candidate emphasized that the last week of the campaign should be dedicated to managing the work done so far, to guarantee the widest possible participation of citizens in the elections.

" A mini-infrastructure has been set up to enable participation and now we must manage it responsibly," concluded Kodheli.
