The race in Tirana is getting very interesting. While the DP is fighting with the Opportunity for 1 mandate as a deputy, there is a strong fight on the open list of the DP. Currently, this party has 14 mandates in Tirana and this means that only 2 names will be entered from the open list.

Until recently, Ilir Alimehmeti was in the lead, followed by Jorida Tabaku. But the numbers have been reversed. Loranca Hoxha has climbed to second place. But the difference between them is very narrow, as there are still many uncounted ballot boxes. On the other hand, the possibility of a second term in Tirana for very few votes and if this happens, only 1 candidate will be entered from the open list of the DP. Born and raised in Brussels, Loranca Hoxha is one of the young Albanians who has decided to return to her homeland to make her contribution. Studying and living in the heart of Europe has given her the golden opportunity to better understand European culture, economy and politics.

She completed her studies in England, where she graduated in “international business”, while she completed her second master's degree in “marketing, strategy and innovation”. During her professional career, she worked for more than 3 years in a marketing studio in London.

It seems like her profession is not related to politics, but in fact her engagement in the political sphere is not accidental. Ambition in politics and "blue blood" originates from family roots. Her father Shkëlqim Hoxha was involved with the Democratic Party.
