Erion Braçe, who is aiming for his next mandate as a member of parliament on May 11th, while competing on the Socialist Party's open list for the Tirana District, seems to have started the battle for votes.
In a high-profile rivalry with many other names on the Socialists' open list, engaged in recent weeks in the Tirana District, having previously been a deputy for Lushnja, Braçe has appealed to citizens to vote for his name, classifying himself among those legislators who do not sleep and do not want the mandate simply to be a deputy.
But to get the mandate, Braçe must collect preferential votes, that is, beyond the votes in the SP acronym. And here he has a rivalry starting from Fatmir Xhafaj and Orland Rakipi to continue with Xhemal Qefaliaj, Pandeli Majko, Arben Pëllumbi, Blendi Gonxhe and many others.
And in this battle, each of those on the open list, with or without grace, must also sting their colleagues from the same political formation, who are competing on the open list. In other words, beyond the party vote, the 'war' on the open list has no alliances, as each will aim for the maximum preferential votes.
In a video on social media, Braçe says that citizens should vote for him as an MP who is not silent and does not sit idle.
" You will have an assembly with a deputy who does not sit, does not sleep and does not remain silent, who does not want the chair simply to be a deputy, who does not want to be a deputy for the sake of being a deputy, to boast in this city, to boast about Rrogozhina in Shëngjergj or Kamza in Krraba. No! A deputy who speaks, discusses, debates, opposes, approves, proposes and decides ," says Braçe.
