On November 27, 2024, GJKKO decided to end the security measure of house arrest for the democratic leader Sali Berisha, who is being investigated by SPAK related to the charge of passive corruption, related to the privatization procedures of the former Partizani complex.
About 5 weeks after this decision, the GJKKO Appeal decided to impose on Berisha the measure of 'obligation to appear' twice a month at SPAK, while the Special Prosecutor's Office requested the reinstatement of the measure of 'house arrest' for the former Prime Minister.
Of course, the measure decided today by the Appeal of GJKKO is much milder than that of 'house arrest', but it forces Berisha to appear twice a month at SPAK, probably in a routine procedure, which is not even more none the less, it is a kind of reminder that there will be work in the way of facing justice.
The return of the security measure for Berisha has also brought the reactions of the deputies or democratic officials, who seem not to have expected that for 5 weeks, their political boss would somehow "lose" the confrontation with SPAK. Obviously an incomplete loss, compared to SPAK's request to return him to isolation in his apartment on the 8th floor of the building that for almost 1 year he christened as the 'Street of Hope' from where he gave speeches from the window .
And it is almost the same MPs who have reacted in different forms and ways in the span of 5 weeks. And while the release of Berisha was met with applause and was treated as a result of the struggle waged by the opposition and Trump's victory, the appointment of the security measure "mandatory appearance" was "sold" as a political decision of captured justice.

Likewise, referring to public attitudes, Berisha's opposition has increased the pressure, so much so that on December 23 it blocked 5 roads and intersections in Tirana, leaving hundreds and hundreds of people in queues, while this was interpreted as another victory with what they consider like Rama's regime.
But what have the "spicy" DP figures declared in the span of 5 weeks?
On November 27, 2024, the day when GJKKO decided to remove Berisha's arrest warrant, Agron Gjekmarkaj wrote "Trump's victory reaches Albania too! The leader of the opposition, Prof. Dr. Sali Berisha ".

Një përpjekje e pafshehur për tu bërë krah dhe bllok i vetëm me mazhorancën për zgjedhjet e ardhshme! Shqiptarët do të dinë ti japin përgjigje me 11 Maj kësaj sfide. Historia bashkëkohore ka dëshmuar që fitimi i betejave për Sali Berishën është thjeshtë çështje kohë!”.
Flamur Noka, Sekretari i Përgjithshëm i PD-së, më 27 nëntor do të shkruante: “lirimi i zotit Berisha erdhi si pasojë e zhvillimeve të vrullshme politike. E para ishte fitorja e presidentit Trump në SHBA, çka preu metastazat e Xhorxh Sorosit edhe në Shqipëri. E dyta janë rezolutat dhe mbështetja e partnerëve që i bënë PD-së. Kujtoj këtu rezolutat e CDI dhe PPE, dy rezoluta që flasin qartësisht për një shtet të kapur nga krimi dhe korrupsioni, një shtet ku opozitës i janë mbyllur hapësirat, një shtet pa liri ku drejtësia përdoret si marionetë në duart e pushtetit kundër opozitës. Flasin qartësisht për burgosjen e lidershipit të opozitës”.
Ndërsa më 3 janar, Noka shkruan: “nisi si Soros Drejtësi, e po përfundon në Surrogato Drejtësi. U janë errur sytë, u është errësuar gjykimi nga urrejtja për Sali Berishën. Këta mercenarë të verbër që i shërbejnë pa kushte narkoshtetit dhe narkokryeministrit. Duhet të paraqiteni në #SKAP, i thonë liderit të opozitës. Po pse kështu? Për të pirë kafe me Dumanin? Përse duhet të shkojë të paraqitet në SKAP-in tuaj o gjyqtar surrogato? Në SKAP nuk ka dosje e as hetim. Hetimi është mbyllur sepse dosja është në gjykatë. Analiza e këtij vendimi tregon qartësisht se Soros Drejtësia s'është gjë tjetër veçse Drejtësi Surrogato”.
Luan Baçi, deputeti i PD-së së Qarkut të Fierit, më 27 nëntor shkruante “dalja nga arresti shtëpiak është frymëmarrje shumë e madhe. Unë do ta quaja një oksigjen që i jepet frymës së opozitarizmit. Është një frymëmarrje shumë e fuqishme, është një motivim që marrin të gjithë demokratët dhe mbështetësit e PD”.
Ndërsa më 3 janar 2025, Baçi shkruan “nuk heqin dorë, nuk tërhiqen, vazhdojnë të provokojnë, me të gjitha, mjetet mënyrat dhe format, shpresojnë akoma, se mund ta ndalojnë Sali Berishën dhe të trembin demokratët, në rrugën e pakthyshme drejtë fitores së tyre në 11 Maj 2025! Me vendimin absurd dhe pa asnjë justifikim të sotëm, nuk bëtë asgjë tjetër, veçse caktuat, që dy herë në muaj, kryetari i PD profesor doktor Sali Berisha, kryeministri i ardhshëm i Shqipërisë, do të dalë në konferencë për shtyp, para gazetareve te godina e SPAK, i shoqëruar nga mijëra demokratë dhe demokrate, për të shpalosur pjesë të programit të PD”.
