Gjergj Zefi: Berisha did not want to win the elections on May 11, but thought of

Gjergj Zefi, the editor of " Pamphlet" on the podcast "Të Pashoj" said that the Democratic Party is no longer the Democratic Party, but a group of a caste of people.

Commenting on the election result, Zefi said that more than a victory for Edi Rama, it is a defeat for Sali Berisha.

The editor of " Pamphlet " expressed his opinion that Berisha did not want the victory on May 11. " Berisha did not want the victory, he wanted to preserve his fiefdom, which his predecessor had taken from him ," he said.

Why and how did the SP win so much?

It was known that he would win, since everything was heading towards that. What is striking is the fact that the problems are now coming to light, while they were there, tangible.

Are you referring to electoral crimes?

No, I'm referring to the Codes and everything they're bringing up as problems today. The problem with Albanian politics is that everyone thinks they're going to win and when they lose, they go back to the same problems.

Why did the SP win with this result?

I was shocked at first too, I didn't think it was that deep. I thought he would maintain the 2021 result. Now I understand and I think it's explainable. Sali Berisha lost these elections more than Rama won. He has been rejected several times, and the moment you come back you have to have a new style. But he came back with the same style.

Berisha did not want victory, he wanted to keep his fiefdom, which his predecessor had taken from him. Berisha was calmer this time, despite the fact that today he changed his style a bit and said that we will protest.

But he knew the problems, then the lists he offered to the Democrats were the same faces. Flamur Noka, Albana Vokshi, Edi Paloka, they are the same names, it seems like he was finding a job for these people who had loyally supported him.

The DP should have changed 3 leaders. After losing the elections in 2017, Basha would have left. New trends would have brought him to power, there is no need for the sins of 30 years to be borne by the new democrats, those who perhaps were not born then.
