President Bajram Begaj welcomed the opening of the 2nd group of chapter negotiations for Albania's membership in the European Union. It was the 4th Albania-EU Intergovernmental Conference, held in Brussels, that decided to open the 2nd group of chapter.
“Another important step on the path to European integration: The opening of Chapter 2 of the negotiations, 'Internal Market', within the framework of the fourth Albania-EU Intergovernmental Conference.
"Let us move forward with great dedication, cooperation, responsibility and more work to move steadily towards EU membership," writes the President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, on social networks.
This Monday, the 4th EU-Albania intergovernmental conference, where the "Internal Market" negotiation chapter was opened.
In October 2024, our country officially opened the first group of chapters, that of the "Fundamental" chapters, which affect justice, administration, and the rule of law.
Meanwhile, on December 17, the foreign relations group chapter opened, with talks on foreign policy and security.
