Çollaku against Noka: DP and PL should come out with separate lists
Ilir Meta has put the Democratic Party in trouble. A day ago, Flamur Noka warned that the leader of the PL will be included on the DP list, despite being in prison, but not everyone has come out to his side.
Kreshnik Çollaku has stated that the DP and PL should not compete with joint lists. So the leader of the PL should not be on the DP list.
According to him, the DP and PL are parties with different ideologies and positions, and entering with a joint list does not bring an increase in votes, but a decrease in them.
He also said that the introduction of joint lists of the DP and PL has caused leftists to not vote for the DP and right-wing votes not to go to the DP list when they saw that a left-wing party was there.
" I think that Ilir Meta, despite the situation he is in, despite the imprisonment, despite the totally illegal and undeserved attack, I think that the DP and PL are two separate parties, have two separate electorates, have two separate approaches and have two separate positions.
I would be in favor of tolerating and accommodating on the DP lists historical right-wing allies whose political programs unite us.
"I wish Meta much success in his legal battle, I wish PL much success in the electoral race, but I think that we are two separate parties and entering into joint lists has not produced any success stories. It has caused left-wing votes not to vote for the DP and right-wing votes not to vote for the DP list when they saw that there was a left-wing party there ," Çollaku said on "A2 CNN".
So it seems that on the eve of the elections, the DP continues to be divided. Berisha is in a dilemma about the primaries, while Gazment Bardhi has openly come out against this type of process. Now it seems that there are also voices against the alliance with Meta, which means that the moment the list of deputies is released, we will have another clash.
