The lawyer told "Pamphlet" about Meta's trips to Prague and how the witnesses of this file died suspiciously.
Lawyer Romeo Kara has analyzed the CEZ-DIA file. In an interview for "Pamphlet" , the lawyer also responded to Ilir Meta's accusations against him. Kara has narrated a conversation with Elvis Mata, who is the key witness of this file. Mata told him how Ismailaj sent Meta a bag with 200 million lek at home. Kara also told "Pamphlet" about Meta's trips to Prague and how the witnesses of this file died suspiciously.
Interview:
- Mr. Kara, after nearly 6 years, it seems as if things are moving for the CEZ-DIA affair. Do you think that SPAK will go to the end of the file and take Ilir Meta as a defendant?
Looking at the recent developments, the positive trend of increasing the effectiveness of SPAK's work, the growing interest of the international factor in the installation of punishment for corrupt politicians, as well as the unprecedented perversion of Meta after leaving SPAK, I believe that, finally, the investigation process is ending and very soon we will be at the moment of communication of the accusation about Meta and some other former high officials behind him, here and in the Czech Republic.
-Since you have often talked about this file and many details are known, there are some other very interesting elements. You have had contact with the key witness, Elvis Mata, who, as far as I know, has spoken about bags of money that were brought into Ilir Meta's house. How is the truth?
Briefly and clearly, in words and in writing, Elvis Mataj has stated that Ismailaj sent Meta to his house, close to the former Berlin restaurant in the former Block, a brown leather bag in which were 200,000 euro or 200 million Albanian lek. This happened sometime in late 2010 or early 2011.
-According to my sources, SPAK has provided evidence for Meta's suspicious trips to Prague, where the pact was made. You are the only one who talked about Meta's travels, can you tell us more details?
It is more certain that at the end of November 2010, Meta traveled with Ismailaj to Prague where they met the two top executives of CEZ-Group, Martin Roman and Tomas Pleskash.
They traveled together, passed through Rinas together, with plane tickets paid for by CEZ and stayed in the same hotel in Prague, Hotel Mandarin.
Three days before they left on their trip, Ismailaj was urgently paid for an unfinished job even today with an amount of around 1.5 million euros, while a few days after they returned, ERE approved the infamous decision to reduce the price of energy that KESH sold to them. CEZ damaging the state budget with a minimum of 30 million euros per year.
To be incognito in Prague, they did not travel in embassy cars, but in another car for which we know the license plate, type and color: black Mercedes with AOE 507 license plate.
After this trip and the points I mentioned, the Board of CEZ Group approved the DIA-CEZ debt collection contract.
- The two main witnesses of this affair, such as Qazim Tepshi and Zamir Stefani, are no longer alive. Why do you think there is mystery in their death?
There is an added mystery to their deaths, as both have been linked to various affairs involving Meta.
However, it is up to SPAK to investigate this matter. Everything so far is in the framework of hypotheses.
- Do you have an answer to Ilir Meta's accusations against you?
As always, Meta, Berisha and every politician when faced with justice try to politicize the work of the justice bodies and hit the accuser when they cannot hit the report.
It is when they fall to this kind of level that, I am convinced, they are really in trouble.
I was accused by him of having been used by Rama politically to make that report in 2019 when Meta had the plan of family honesty and denounced the incinerator affair.
This is a long-thought-out slander from him, after it backfired on him, because my report was made exactly on October 18, 2017, not only without any political influence, but contrary to the interests of all the politics of the time.
This is proven by the media of the time, YouTube and Google.
He accused me of false predicates, but apparently he doesn't believe the reality and doesn't understand if he's in a dream or a dream.
I believe that his visit to Prague with Ismailaj is not fake and Ismailaj's wife's interview with him is not fake.
The statements of Jozef Hejsek and Elvis Mata are not false either.
The decision of the ERE is not false either, a decision which he himself finally accepted as illegal and contrary to the interests of the Albanian State.
The money he received from Ismailaj was not fake either.
Only his belief that legal punishment for people like him would never see the light of day in Albania was false.
Although his friendship with Ismail is universally known, he dared to deny it.
By denying that friendship, he actually affirmed his guilt.
However, SPAK has had enough time to verify the authenticity of my report, and Meta knows this well, but it is impossible to accept it.
However, one should not take too seriously the cross accusations made by a man pardoned for life.
The mind is a big thing...
When you have no shame, you do everything.
