Journalist Basir Çollaku spoke about the latest investigation of RAI3 about Albania, which touches on topics such as governance, crime and immigrants.
He explained that Engjëll Agaçi, who is mentioned in the published reportage, served as a guarantor for the donation of a piece of land in the Soda forest by someone accused of drug trafficking to a former Italian head of the authorities. He emphasized that there are still materials that have not been discovered by "RAI3".
"I talked with the Italian journalist while he was in Albania, Agaçi was one of the important lawyers in Italy, he can also defend traffickers, criminals, etc. The thing is what happens after you leave this job, do you keep in touch with these people when you have another job. As the Italian journalist, the former head of Interpol, Fabrizio Lizzi, has been given a 3-hectare piece of land in the Soda forest where it would be a starting point for the boats. The land was donated by Artur Shehu, accused of drug trafficking.
While it was also his name, the suspicions of the investigation was that it had to do with a name change to avoid coming up in Interpol's searches. There has been an investigation into this foundation, whose leader was Lizzi. So, the presence and cognitive guarantee as highlighted in the reportage was Engjëll Agaçi, the man who came from the world of drug trafficking. There are still materials that have not been published by RAI3", he said.
