In addition to entering politics, Olta Xhaçka started a romance with Kreshnik Spahiu, who at that time was the vice-president of KLD and an influential figure in law. Spahiu and Olta have lived together for two years.
Kreshnik Spahiu originates from Prizren, an important historical center of Upper Albania.
After breaking up with Kreshnik Spahiu, Olta Xhaçka started a relationship and cohabitation with Artan Gaçi, former deputy of the Socialist Party.
In a confidential OSCE report from 2015, Artan Gaçi is described as a businessman who launders dirty money and has a history of trafficking.
