Genc Deromemaj, former head of the Democratic Party branch, has been appointed head of the Vlora Cadastre.
Deromemaj was one of the first supporters of Sali Berisha when he began his tour of the rostrums across the country, in September 2021, a time when there were also major clashes with Lulzim Basha, the leader of the DP at the time. Deromemaj also supported Berisha in the Extraordinary Assembly of the re-establishment of the DP that was held on December 11, 2021.
Deromemaj has previously held political positions at the local level and is considered an experienced figure in administration.
In 2015, he ran for mayor of Vlora, facing Dritan Leli, a contest he lost at the time. Deromemaj has been one of the most engaged names in the Vlora branch of the Democratic Party of Albania for years, where he has held various positions.
He takes on this position following the departure of the previous head of this institution, Erjon Galanxhi, who resigned after only 3 months in office.
