Leaders from 47 European countries and organizations are gathering today for a one-day summit in the Albanian capital to discuss security and defense challenges across the continent, with Russia's all-out aggression against Ukraine at the top of the agenda.
Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo, who attended the long-awaited European Political Community Summit, also spoke about the situation of war in the world. He said that President Vladimir Putin is the one who does not want peace.
"We need to convey a strong common message. Europe is on Ukraine's side. We have had a strong voice. We need a ceasefire and a lasting peace. I think the ball is in Russia's court. It needs to cooperate with the US, Europe needs good cooperation with the United States of America ," he said.
