The independent candidate for the Municipality of Tirana, Florjan Binaj, has published a message on social networks, following his campaign for the by-elections.
The well-known actor and activist explains the motives that drive him to run for mayor of the capital.
"Many people ask me why I'm running. I'm running for our children, for your children, for this city. So that our children grow up building memories and not seeing construction," he says.
Binaj emphasizes that he lives in Tirana like any other citizen, with his wife and three children, in an old building, in a small, but warm and loving apartment. He states that with his work, activism and humor, he has always raised his voice against injustice and in defense of people who are truly in need.
"An unhealthy Tirana cannot produce healthy citizens. At the head of the Tirana municipality, we do not need a servant of the party, but a servant of the citizens ," the independent candidate says.
In conclusion, Binaj calls on citizens to unite for a more livable Tirana.
"We must all act together to turn Tirana into the city we want to leave to our children," Binaj concludes.
We recall that Flor Binaj, who has received the opposition's support for the Municipality of Tirana, reacted to Prime Minister Rama's statement during his podcast.
The latter said that the opposition is desperate to choose a comedian as its candidate, while Binaj described the prime minister as the greatest actor in Albania.
"The biggest actor in Albania is Edi Rama, who takes 140 million Euros from citizens by "convincing" them that he is building an incinerator without laying a single brick! Prestigious," he replied.
