The independent candidate who has received the opposition's support for the Municipality of Tirana, Florjan Binaj, has reacted to Prime Minister Edi Rama's statement during his podcast, where he said that the opposition is desperate to choose a comedian as its candidate.
Through a post on Facebook, Binaj describes the prime minister as the greatest actor in Albania.
"The biggest actor in Albania is Edi Rama, who takes 140 million Euros from citizens while "convinced" that he is building an incinerator without laying a single brick! Prestigious," Binaj wrote on Facebook.
During his podcast on Sunday, Rama mocked the opposition's selection of the candidate for mayor of Tirana, calling Florjan Binaj "a supposedly independent comedian" who has made the Socialist Party Congress laugh by imitating him himself.
Focusing on the capital's municipal elections, for which there is still no date, Rama said that Florian Binaj is playing the next role, while his election shows the desperation of the swamp, as he called the Democratic Party.
"The swamp is so desperate that Tirana has brought out a comedian in the role of a supposedly independent candidate, who for years has made everyone laugh, even the Socialist Party Congress itself, where he once came to play my role. Therefore, I do not judge the actor at all badly for the new role he has taken, because actors have this job, they live with roles. But whoever votes for me and the Socialist Party will vote for Ogerta, to give Tirana the right leader and the government the right partner at the head of the municipality, to continue the transformative work for the capital of Albania 2030", said Rama.
