The Socialists in Tirana continue preparations for the by-elections, even though the November 9 date decreed by President Bajram Begaj has finally passed. The earliest date for holding these elections is December 14.
Lapsi.al has seen a message sent by Taulant Balla to a WhatsApp group of Socialist Party structures in Tirana. In that message, Balla requested mobilization from the structure and made December 14th the date for the elections in Tirana certain, although it is not known how Erion Veliaj's fate will play out in the Constitutional Court.
We recall that the latter has called a session on October 31st for Erion Veliaj's appeal against his dismissal from the government. Taulant Balla's assurance regarding the holding of elections in Tirana on December 14th also compromises the decision of the Constitutional Court.
Anyone can rightly ask; how does the Socialist Party know what the Constitutional Court will decide on the fate of Erion Veliaj?
We recall that Taulant Balla has been appointed to lead the campaign in Unit 5 in Tirana together with Niko Pelesh.
Edi Rama's rush to plug the dirty manhole of his power in Tirana, by catapulting Manastirli instead of Veliaj, was clear from the Socialist Party Assembly in September.
But things seem to be getting a little complicated for her, as SPAK is expected to inform Belinda Balluku that she will be a person under investigation on suspicion of corruption.
Balluku has not yet made any reaction, while Edi Rama spoke about the presumption of innocence and avoided a direct comment on the work of the Special Prosecution Office./ LAPSI .al
