On the fourth anniversary of the start of Russia's war in Ukraine, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Elisa Spiropali, has expressed Albania's support for the Ukrainian people.
Through a post on social media, where she also published photos from her recent meeting with President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kiev, Spiropali emphasized that Albania continues to stand by Ukraine in its confrontation with Russian aggression.
In her message, the Albanian chief diplomat commemorated the lives lost during the four years of conflict and praised the resilience of the Ukrainian people. She underlined that Ukraine's courage and resilience are proof that, in her opinion, violence cannot defeat the aspiration for freedom and sovereignty.
Spiropali stated that official Tirana will continue to support Kiev on the political and diplomatic level, as well as through concrete actions, describing this position as clear and based on principles.
"Four years after Russia launched its brutal and unjustified aggression against Ukraine, we commemorate the lives lost and stand in unwavering solidarity with a nation defending its freedom, sovereignty and democracy. The courage of the Ukrainian people continues to inspire the world. Their resilience proves that terror cannot defeat the will to live free. Albania reaffirms its unwavering support for Ukraine, politically, diplomatically and through concrete actions. Our solidarity is clear, principled and enduring. Ukraine is not alone!", writes Spiropali.
