Parliamentary elections are being held today, with the voting process officially beginning at 7:00 AM across the country.
The leader of the "Initiative Albania Becomes" coalition, Adriatik Lapaj, was the first political leader to exercise his right to vote. He voted at around 08:00 at the High School of Economics, on "Myrtezim Këlliçi" street, in Tirana.
In an official announcement distributed by the party the day before, his early participation in the elections was confirmed.
"It's the second time I've voted, but it's the first time I've voted as a leader. Of course, I voted for our coalition, for number 6. It's a beautiful day today."
"I think the country has a real opportunity for a big change. I invite citizens to come out en masse to vote," said Adriatik Lapaj.
The voting process will continue until 7:00 PM, and authorities have called for mass and peaceful participation by all eligible citizens.
