Kryemadhi goes to SPAK, jokes with journalists: I'll give you a coffee for the New Year

Former Freedom Party leader Monika Kryemadhi went to SPAK today.

Kryemadhi appeared at the Special Prosecution Office to comply with the security measure imposed on her, "compulsory appearance".

She didn't spare any jokes with reporters in this appearance, her first for 2026, telling them that she would "give them coffee for New Year's."

On July 28, 2025, SPAK announced the closure of the investigations and the sending for trial of the criminal case against former President Ilir Meta and his ex-wife, Monika Kryemadhi, accused of the criminal offenses of corruption and money laundering.

According to the Special Prosecution Office, Meta, who has been in prison for more than a year, is accused of passive corruption in three cases, two of which in collaboration. His ex-wife, Monika Kryemadhi, has been charged with passive corruption in two cases committed in collaboration.
