A fierce debate took place in parliament between the Speaker of the Assembly Elisa Spiropali and the DP MP Asllan Dogjani.
Dogjani focused on the serious incident in Gjirokastra, saying that a 17-year-old girl committed suicide because of the state's fault, after being bullied because she couldn't afford to buy a dress like her friends. He further said that "Rama's own associate said that the prime minister walks around state offices with his panties on."
Spiropali told Dogjan that he could not use insults on the floor of the Assembly. Dogjan replied that he should not speak today.
Asllan Dogjani: A 17-year-old girl in Gjirokastra hanged herself because she was being bullied by her classmates. Edi Rama killed the 17-year-old because she was poor, because she was unable to wear a dress, the state killed her because she could not dress like her friends. You are heartless. Think about the pain this 17-year-old's parents must be in because the school psychologists did nothing to prevent this serious event. You did nothing for 14-year-old Martin Cani either, leaving the parents in great pain. Rama has turned the Ministry of Interior into a tool for his power. How can you be responsible when you have a prime minister who lives like a monarch. We have a prime minister who walks around state offices with his panties down his legs, the deputy minister said, because he is clearly not well.
Elisa Spiropali: Finish your speech. Don't you dare talk about insults and slander.
Asllan Dogjani: Shut your mouth. I'm saying what your associates said.
Elisa Spriopali: It is unacceptable to insult high-ranking officials, the prime minister, ministers or MPs.
