It seems we are at the beginning of a bad year and not at the end of the transition...
The international game has completely changed and, as is being seen every minute, things are moving towards a pure business between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin, a business that is heading towards very close transactions.
The Financial Times wrote yesterday that Trump has undertaken to finance and receive the benefits of Nord Stream 2, Russia's second gas pipeline to Germany.
In short, Trump is telling Europe that you will get liquefied gas like Russian gas at my prices. A change that shows that everything has been turned upside down. Europe has begun to prepare its own army, but it will not be easy. However, its main countries, as was seen at the London Summit, have set their own milestones. Milestones that exclude the entire Balkan region.
Neither Croatia, nor Slovenia, nor Romania or Bulgaria participated in London, let alone the countries of the Western Balkans.
Exactly one day after the summit, 'Corriere della Sera' reprinted an article about Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner's investment in Sazan. An investment that has been in the works for months, but which seems to have been commissioned by Edi Rama's friend who is also the owner of 'Corriere della Sera', Urbano Cairo. The obvious intention was to remind Europeans that Rama is connected to the "Emperor's" family.
Trump wants to move quickly, because he knows that Europe does not have the commercial power of Russia and China, but financially he takes it from everyone. Donald wants to fill the gap, putting payments on their heads, which will cause political earthquakes in the countries of the European Union.
As a result of this situation, EU embassies in the Balkans, especially in Albania, are also moving, taking advantage of the American vacuum.
But as it turns out, the two most active are the Turks and the Greeks, who are on an unprecedented offensive. This was evident from Janullatosu's funeral, where the host was neither Edi Rama nor Sali Berisha, but Qirjako Mitsotakis.
Erdogan, for his part, has almost taken over the Albanian Muslim Community, interfering heavily within it, because they no longer have American support. Almost all the imams have changed their stance, and recently they were on an organized visit to Turkey, the main nucleus of the Muslim community.
In all likelihood, the Eid prayer will bring a great innovation in this regard.
But these movements in the centers of religious influence are expected to be clearly reflected in the elections of May 11. The Turks are playing with both gates; with both the SP and the DP, but with Rama they have the most consolidated relationship. They have asked for deputies in 4 important districts of Albania. Meanwhile, Athens is asking for 2 deputies in Vlora for the PBDRJ.
Media funded by Athens are demanding even more, opening up the possibility that Fredi Beleri's son should also become an MP. An option that was reportedly proposed to Sali Berisha, but which he rejected, saying that it would completely destroy him.
Meanwhile, Edi Rama has approved 4 pro-Erdogan deputies; 2 in the Tirana district, one in Durrës and one in Vlora, who in all likelihood will not vote as the pasha requests, but rather as the Sultan.
It seems we are at the beginning of a bad year and not at the end of the transition…/ Pamphlet
