
The chairman of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, held a meeting with the vice-president of the International Republican Institute, Scott Mastic.
In this meeting, the priorities of the Democratic Party were discussed, such as the fight against corruption, free elections, transparency and political accountability, and the inclusion of as many young people and women as possible in politics.
"The fight against corruption, which is the biggest obstacle to the development of the country and the creation of opportunities for young people to build their lives in their country and not in emigration, is also the main priority of the DP", said Basha.
In this framework, Basha emphasized the DP's support for SPAK and the commitment through legal initiatives in the parliament to contribute to the fight against corruption, especially at the highest levels.
"The money that was stolen from the Albanians and ended up in bank accounts, or was invested anywhere in the world, must be returned to the Albanians", said the leader of the DP.
According to the press office, it is learned that the president of the DP also presented the platform for the fight against corruption and for the electoral reform, which gives Albanian citizens the opportunity to choose and be represented according to their will, open lists, vetting for politicians, the vote of the diaspora. , the president from the people, etc.
Speaking about the reorganization of the DP, Basha said that special attention is being paid to the inclusion of as many women and young people as possible, for whose training IRI is making an important contribution.
Basha also presented the project of the Civic Alliance for Democracy, which, according to the DP chairman, is the coalition to free the economy and advance the changes that Albanians expect.
