As predicted, today the French president, Emmanuel Macron, is coming to our country for the first time. The latter will arrive this afternoon, but other details of his agenda have not yet been announced.
His visit will last two days, October 16 and 17, while the focus of the talks will be the relations between the two countries, as well as opportunities for cooperation in various fields such as culture, education, economy or energy.
Macron's visit to our country marks a historic event between Albania and France, marking the first visit in bilateral relations. Macron was expected to participate in the Berlin Process Summit, but he postponed his visit to Tirana by a few hours.
According to the French media, the reason for this postponement was the murder of the teacher in France, as well as the conflict in the Middle East between Israel and the Hamas group.
Macron will be represented at the Balkan summit by the Secretary of State for Europe, Laurence Boone.
The Berlin Process Summit in Tirana will be attended by all the leaders of the Balkan countries, the member states of the European Union and the highest representatives of the EU.
This type of summit of special importance is held for the first time outside the borders of the EU.
