Who will the PDIU join in the May 11 elections? Idrizi extends his hand to new

The leader of the PDIU, Shpëtim Idrizi, tonight on "Të Pashoj", at 21:00, spoke about his position in relation to Edi Rama and Sali Berisha! Who will the PDIU unite with on May 11?

-Coalition with Berisha or Rama?

It seemed like all of this was our issue. Because they want the electoral weight of the PDIU but without the Cham issue. They insist on taking Dule in a coalition. Dule had 800 votes in Tirana, the chairman of the PDIU had 8 thousand. So I have seen a tendency that taking the PDIU into a coalition was a big problem for the two major political forces, because they felt that Greece would be upset. To this day, when you ask the PDIU, I am very curious to ask this question to the political parties: Do you want the PDIU in a coalition?

-How badly have the negotiations with the two political forces gone in different periods of time?

The fact that we have been in coalitions, we have resolved it because of strength and necessity. The Cham issue is burning not only for Greek politics but also for Albanians. The issue of the Albanians of Cham is not a matter of their desire and will. I have asked for the resolution. We have managed to bring Albanian politics together at many moments because the PDIU did not have to be reminded that the parliament, the PD or the SP, which have more weight, should do this for the law of war. So, the PDIU pushes and invites, because the lack of recognition has been so great.

-Do you believe that the Cham issue will be resolved?

Absolutely yes. They would declare war, from a formal and legal point of view and consequences the Greek state is at war with the Albanian state.

-Do you believe that Greece will give up and that this day will finally come?

Of course, yes. When we have a dignified state, there will be cooperation.

-Where will you position yourself, next to Rama or Berisha?

These are not the only alternatives. There are many others. We are not stuck with just one.

-Are you negotiating with everyone and then the most advantageous deal?

Like all other forces, bound by the Electoral Code. These are unusual elections.

-Are you negotiating with everyone? Who can you tell us?

We are not talking to Dule.

-The young people, I mean Lapaj, Shabani, etc.

I can't give names, but the first challenge is how to join forces on the Cham issue. We have a code that gives superpowers to the big parties. We have a unilateral change in 2021, where the Constitution was also changed. There, coalitions were removed, while the 2008 system was for coalitions. Albania was divided into 12 regions. The Socialist Party broke up the coalitions in 2021, but we, the opposition forces, faced with a super large majority, managed to get on a list and the difference was 30 thousand votes.
