Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha has decided to run with his former associates in the May 11 elections. Although it was expected that we would have new figures, it seems that Berisha will attempt to come to power with those who once supported him.
For months, a major battle has been taking place in the DP over who will be on the list of MPs. According to polls, the DP could suffer defeat in these elections and there are many who are fighting to have a place on the closed list in order to become MPs.
The situation in the DP is known, as Bardhi's group, although united with the rest, is still divided. Berisha seems to be anticipating defeat, keeping his loyalists behind him. If the DP loses, it is known that clashes will start again and the former prime minister is creating a close group to support him.
In a large part of the districts, Berisha has appointed those responsible for organizing the campaign, and there are approximately 14 or 15 people who were once his collaborators or deputies, but whom Basha dismissed.
The first is Jozefina Topalli, responsible for the diaspora, who will most likely be a candidate for MP. In Durrës, Berisha has introduced Gent Strazimir, who will cover Kruja. In Berat it is Eno Bozdo, while in Lezha he has returned Salvador Kaçaj and Albina Dedaj, former MPs. In Elbasan he has also returned former MPs Arbjola Halimi and Ardian Turku. He has also introduced former spokesperson Silvi Bardhi there. In Tirana, Berisha has returned Arben Ristan, Çlirim Gjata, Edith Harxhi, Kletis Kruja, Ilda Zulali and Mimoza Hajdarmataj.
These are the names made public so far, as there are some regions where the names of the working groups have not yet been determined and this list may be extended further. /Pamphlet
