The leader of the "Mundësia" Party, Agron Shehaj, has stated that his political force is not interested in bargaining. He stressed that Albania needs a credible opposition in order to have an uncorrupted government.
Shehaj said that as a new party, their biggest challenge is to enter parliament with as many MPs as possible, but he emphasizes that this is not the goal. The MP also said that the chances of a new party coming to power are zero.
"We are not interested in bargaining. We think that Albania needs a real, concrete and credible opposition, to begin with. And after we gain the trust of the citizens by making an opposition the way the citizens expect, we can give Albania a non-corrupt government. Everything starts from the opposition
We think, as a new party, for us the biggest challenge is to enter parliament with the largest possible number of deputies. But it is not our goal to maximize the number of deputies. Our goal is to gain the trust of citizens by forming a real opposition against Edi Rama in the Assembly. I was only in parliament last year and I fought many battles with the government.
A newly created party has no chance of coming to power. Zero chance. It doesn't happen in the West, it doesn't happen in the East. Malicious questions like 'are you entering the elections to stay in the opposition?'. Yes! Why does it seem strange?! We will most likely become part of the opposition ," Shehaj told "Open".
