Prime Minister Edi Rama was received today with an official ceremony by his Italian counterpart Giorgia Meloni at the 'Palazzo Chigi' in Rome. Rama's visit comes within the framework of international commitments and strengthening cooperation with European partners.
After the meeting with Meloni, Rama will also hold a meeting with the Italian Minister of Defense, Guido Crosetto.
But what stood out during Rama's meeting with Meloni was the Prime Minister's gesture of kneeling before shaking hands with his Italian counterpart. An action that, despite being criticized several times, Rama continues to repeat.
Rama is known for his special relationship with his Italian counterpart, Georgia Meloni. In November last year, a meeting was held between the governments of Albania and Italy where 16 joint cooperation agreements were signed in several areas such as defense, health, security and infrastructure.
After Italy, Rama will travel to Spain, where, at the invitation of Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, he will participate in the proceedings of the fourth meeting of the "In Defense of Democracy" Summit, taking place in Barcelona.
