The chairman of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, appreciated the role of Sali Berisha in all integration processes of Albania. In a conference with journalists, Meta said that Sali Berisha inspires even from the balcony.
Meta said that even though he was not at the protest taking place below Sali Berisha's house, he says that he is "24 hours on the road of hope".

I was not invited by Flamur Noka, but I am 24 hours in support in solidarity with a scandalous and shameful act that was undertaken against a politician, everyone can have their remarks, I also had deep disagreements, but it played a historical role for political pluralization in Albania with his leadership. He played a historic role for Albania's membership in NATO, he was the first to articulate it, but he also worked, he played a role in the relations with the USA", said Meta.
Further, the head of the PL said that "Let everyone be sure that these mafia-style Putin behavior in relation to the opposition will not have any success, on the contrary, they will mobilize the opposition in its fight to save the Albanians from the capture of the state and the installation of a fraudulent regime".
