Americans continue to send clear messages to the prime minister to stay away from justice. While the US embassy still does not have an ambassador, politics is quietly dancing and everyone has risen up against the new justice.

But today a sharp message came from Washington. The State Department made it clear that for them SPAK is doing very well and no one should mess with it. The message even focused on the government, where it became clear that it should support this body in the fight against corruption and that every law should be according to EU standards.
" Corruption is a big problem. Albania has great progress, due to SPAK which has done an extraordinary job. Work against corruption must be advanced. This is how they progressed to the EU. You must keep corruption under control and the various legal measures you make must be in line with the EU ," said Collen Hyland, Director of European Affairs at DASH, who was in Tirana today.
On the other hand, she sent a message to Rama to be careful about which investors he approaches. The government has turned its eyes to the East, as in many cases we also have Turkish or Chinese investments. The DASH official stated that in some cases national security may be endangered. It is not known which occasion the DASH official was referring to, but it seems that it was an ear-pull for the head of the government.
" Is there an element of national security that needs to be taken into consideration? Because the law says if you will follow e.g. in a tender the company that offers the lowest price wins, if the bidder was from a country that does not offer a quality according to the standards it should, you must ensure that you have a legal mechanism to get the best bidder based on the criteria ”, stated Colleen Hyland.
