Prime Minister Edi Rama, during his visit to the NATO summit in Vilnius, held a conversation with the Expert of the European Center of the Atlantic Council, Rachel Rizzo, on "Systematic challenges to common values and interests".
From there, Rama spoke about the situation in Kosovo, saying that what is happening in the north of the neighboring country is very dangerous and that the situation there could escalate to the point of conflict.
He said that while the EU dialogue facilitation works with both sides, with Belgrade and Pristina, there is a third party that is rising, the extreme groups in the north of Kosovo.
" I am very comfortable with President Biden's speech today in the Council, which spoke about these topics. The Western Balkans problem today, in terms of security, may not be on the same scale as the larger Ukrainian problem, but it is not so small as to be treated as something worthless. And what is happening, something that is really very dangerous with the north of Kosovo, to become a hotbed with a threat of the opening of the conflict and as the facilitation of the EU dialogue works with both sides, with Belgrade and Pristina, there is a third party that is rising, the extreme groups in the north of Kosovo ", he said.
