Prime Minister Edi Rama will meet with President Bajram Begaj today, a few days after announcing changes to the Government Cabinet.
The meeting between the Prime Minister and the President will be held at the Brigades Palace, the same place where Rama announced the changes to the Government a few days ago, during a meeting of the Socialist Parliamentary Group.
At the meeting, Rama is expected to submit the changes to the Government to the President and then it will be the Head of State who will decree the new ministers.
The changes in the government cabinet occur only 5 months from the moment the Government was formed, after Rama took office for his 4th term as Prime Minister.
Changes in Government
Belinda Balluku leaves office and is replaced by Enea Karakaçi, who takes the position of Minister of Infrastructure and Energy.
Albana Koçiu replaces Belinda Balluku in the position of Deputy Prime Minister.
Besfort Lamallari is appointed Minister of Interior, replacing Albana Koçiu.
Toni Gogu takes the post of Minister of Justice, replacing Besfort Lamallari.
Ferit Hoxha is appointed Foreign Minister, while Elisa Spiropali leaves office.
Ermal Nufi takes over as Minister of Defense, replacing Pirro Vengu.
Eriona Ismaili is appointed Minister for Parliamentary Relations, replacing Toni Gogu.
