Citizen does not hold back against Edi Rama: Mr. Prime Minister, there is no one more idiot than you

Prime Minister Edi Rama seems to have intervened himself to quell the protests of the residents of Tragjas. There were many protests in this village against the new water supply and today a video has emerged on social media, where Rama has called a citizen, but the call has ended in a clash and accusations.

The conversation, which is not known when it took place, began with a question from the citizen about the sewage project in the village. The resident claimed that the investment in the pipes was made about 15 years ago, questioning the need for new interventions.

During the phone call, the citizen addresses the prime minister with the question: " The sewers that you will build in Tragjas, for what function will we be interested? ", adding that the pipes "have been built" for years.

The Prime Minister categorically rejected this claim, stating that “nothing has been done” in the area. He reacted in harsh tones to the interlocutor, accusing him of talking “nonsense” and using insulting expressions such as “you are completely crazy” and “how can you be so crazy, so idiotic?”

On the other hand, the citizen responded in a strong tone, accusing the prime minister of insulting the village and its inhabitants. " There is no one more idiotic than you, to kill a village and call your village an idiot ," he is heard saying in the video.

The Prime Minister then clarified that he had not called the residents of Tragjas as a community "idiots", but that he was addressing his interlocutor in the debate.

Residents of Tragjas, Radhima and Orikum, who have been opposing the project for months that envisages taking water from the Izvor spring to supply the tourist areas of Dhërmi, Palasa and Jala.

Residents say the project endangers the community's drinking water source and have organized several protests against the start of the works. In the latest protest, clashes were reported between residents and police, after workers from the implementing company arrived to begin interventions on the ground.

Conversation

Edi Rama: I'm sorry, I'm sorry.

Citizen: Yes, I'm sorry.

Edi Rama: I hear you, speak with orders. What do you mean?

Citizen: The sewers, the sewers that you will build in Tragjas, what function will they serve?

Edi Rama: For what purpose? But how, are you going to keep leaving them on the street? You don't need the canals? You're not going to put them in the canal, are you going to keep throwing them in the garden? How are you going to do it?

Citizen: Yes, they are done. What are you going to do, start over again?

Edi Rama: But who did it? Which ones?

Citizen: Sewers.

Edi Rama: Where are your sewers? Are you in your right mind or not? Are you in your right mind? What kind of people are you?

Citizen: Mr. Prime Minister, what you are saying has been done. Are you going to sew it all over again, are you going to do it?

Edi Rama: Sir, nothing has been done there. Listen to what I'm telling you: nothing has been done.

Citizen: Nothing? The pipelines have been built for 15 years, Mr. Prime Minister.

Edi Rama: What should I forgive you for when you talk nonsense? How should I forgive you?

Citizen: Let me speak once, then I'll listen to you.

Edi Rama: I don't have time to waste listening to you nonsense. Do you know how much nonsense I've heard these days? I'm fed up, you understand? You are completely disconnected. How are you so disconnected, so idiotic?

Citizen: Mr. Prime Minister, there is no one more idiot than you, to let a village die and call the village idiot. You are the Prime Minister.

Edi Rama: I didn't call the village of Tragjas an idiot. I'm talking to you and I also said it about myself, that I'm half-disconnected. Don't yell at me. Enough, we're done talking. Thank you for your level. I don't have time for you anymore.

Citizen: I didn't insult you...

Edi Rama: I took you for granted, but you don't deserve my respect. You behaved very badly. I can't continue the conversation.

Citizen: Okay, keep it up, Prime Minister, because you have Tragjasi on your feet.

Edi Rama: Don't show me these "legs". Don't shout. Don't shout at me. No one is stopping me from doing my duty, not you or anyone else.

Citizen: Mr. Prime Minister… please…

Edi Rama: No. You missed the opportunity to talk to me.

Citizen: The German could not erase the tragedy and you cannot erase it, Mr. Prime Minister.
