From the defeat of the resolution on the Serbian genocide, to the organization

Media in Serbia have paid attention to the latest developments in Albania, while this afternoon in Tirana, a protest will be held in support of some of the former UCCK leaders, who are being tried in The Hague, while they have been in detention for several years.

' Danas ' in an article writes that the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, harshly criticized the Parliament's decision not to approve a resolution condemning the Serbian genocide in Kosovo, stating that Albania "should have immediately approved the resolution."

"During 1998-1999, barbaric Serbian forces committed massacres against the defenseless population. To deny this means to be without human, social and national consciousness," Berisha said from the Parliament podium, accusing the ruling Socialist Party of "violating the victims of genocide" and that Prime Minister Edi Rama is "Vučić's servant."

Defense Minister Piro Vengu responded that "no one can share lessons on patriotism when it comes to Kosovo", recalling that Rama also "publicly reiterated the request for recognition of Kosovo in Belgrade".

Vengu called for national unity and stressed that the government is leading "strategic cooperation with Kosovo in development and security."

Opposition MP Erald Kapri criticized the government for what he called a "lack of coherence in relations with Kosovo." "Kosovo deserves a different approach and greater attention from this Parliament, and not for this topic to be used for political rhetoric," he said.

Socialist Ulsi Manja joined the discussion, emphasizing that Rama is "Kosovo's advocate" in international forums.

"He asked EU countries to recognize Kosovo's independence at European and international tables," said Manja, who confirmed that SP MPs will participate in today's protest march in Tirana in support of the KLA, but "as citizens, not as politicians."

Berisha repeated the accusations against Prime Minister Rama, while another DP MP, Tomor Alizoti, stressed that "it is regrettable that there is not a single word about Kosovo in the program or a clear stance on the resolution on genocide."

Socialist MP Ardit Bido responded that the discussion included allegations about the KLA "that even Serbia did not make." He later clarified that the author of that statement was another opposition MP, Tritan Shehu.

The leader of the Republican Party, Fatmir Mediu, announced that he would join the protest march in support of the KLA, emphasizing that he was going "as a citizen, not as a politician." Taulant Baala, the leader of the SP parliamentary group, confirmed that Rama would not attend the meeting in order to "not get politicized."

Tirana is preparing for a massive pan-Albanian protest planned for Friday, October 17, in solidarity with former Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) leaders who are on trial in The Hague.

The announcement of the rally, organized by the KLA War Veterans Association, caused political tensions between Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama and the Vetëvendosje Movement (LVV), while Kosovo institutions, including President Vjosa Osmani, gave support to the protest.

Vetëvendosje challenges Rama's organization of this protest, accusing him of allegedly supporting the Special Court at one time, while Rama responds that he regrets that LVV "is mixing the institutional relations of Kosovo and Albania with the second round of local elections."
