Shortly before the start of the opposition's next protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office, the police intervened by blocking the passage from the Assembly Presidency to the former Bloc area with a metal fence.
A water tanker has been placed between the Parliament headquarters and the former dictator's villa, to handle any situation that may arise.
This measure comes following incidents recorded in the previous protest, when during the march in Tirana, some protesters threw Molotov cocktails in the direction of the so-called "Villa 31", known as the former villa of dictator Enver Hoxha, while there were also several artists inside, whose lives were in danger.
Authorities have increased the level of security in key areas of the capital, aiming to prevent similar incidents and guarantee order during the rally.
The police have taken measures not only for institutions, but have also "armored" the Namazgja mosque with a metal fence.
