The Democratic Party is holding its next protest in Tirana today, gathering supporters at 6:00 PM on "Dëshmorët e Kombit" boulevard, in front of the Prime Minister's Office, following the opposition action against the government.

The rally comes after the last protest, which was accompanied by tensions and incidents, where there were also strong means thrown at state institutions. In this context, the erection of a podium for speeches is not foreseen for today's protest either, implying that the form of the rally will be similar to the previous one.

According to the message distributed in the structures of the Democratic Party, the protest is part of a political action aimed at the removal of the government. The call to supporters states that "the resistance will not stop until its removal, until a technical government and free elections", while citizens are invited to participate in the rally on Sunday at 18:00.

The protest takes place on a symbolic day for the Democrats, which coincides with March 22, the date that marks the victory of the Democratic Party in the first pluralist elections in 1992. Meanwhile, the same day also coincides with the holiday of Sultan Novruz for the Bektashi community.

In order to ensure order and security, the Tirana Police have deployed around 1,500 officers, while imposing strict security measures in key institutions. The Prime Minister's Office, the Parliament and the area around the Namazgja Mosque have been surrounded by metal fences.

According to the official Police announcement, traffic restrictions are also foreseen on several main axes of the capital. From 09:30, the "Dëshmorët e Kombit" boulevard will be blocked, from the Bridge to the intersection with "Ismail Qemali" street, while from 15:00, the "Ukraine e Lirë", "Papa John Paul II" and "Ismail Qemali" streets will also be blocked.

The police have announced that, depending on the development of the protest, there may be other temporary restrictions on various axes, while traffic diversion to alternative routes is planned to facilitate the movement of citizens.

Authorities call on citizens to show understanding for the restrictions and to avoid engaging in any illegal actions that may violate public order and safety. /Pamphlet

    PROTESTO KUNDER MURI:-)
