The love soap opera with the Elbasan Football Academy continues, after the denunciation that "Pamfleti" made last year for the loss-making sale of shares that the Municipality of Elbasan carried out in favor of the AF and the betting deals that keep this relationship afloat.
Today, at the Elbasan Municipal Council, a request was submitted by AF Elbasani for the use of the premises of the former “Ymer Tola” dormitory without any compensation. The contract is expected to have a duration of 5 years and the building will be used to accommodate the staff and players of AF Elbasani.
The logic of giving a building of about 1,300 m² free of charge to a profitable joint stock company remains unclear, while the Municipality of Elbasan itself is a shareholder with 30% of the shares, paid off through the capital invested in this joint stock company.
Why is public property constantly made available to private companies, while raped women and children wander the city streets without shelter?
Why doesn't the Elbasan Municipality use these buildings for families who did not benefit from the rental bonus or soft loans, after the lists were filled with the names of relatives of those in power?
In a normal country, the opposition would react to these injustices. But unfortunately, even today a part of it shamelessly voted for the misuse of public property. DP councilors, Eugen Isaj, Bjanka Çopja and Zamir Muzhaqi, became part of the bargain with a cardboard raise, without worrying about the financial damages and even less about the marginalized layers of citizens. And this, in the name of love for sports and the "development" of the city.
Surely, Prime Minister Rama's call to his constituencies to bring the opposition closer to the PS, by rewarding them with administrative positions tomorrow, is starting to take shape.
