Socialist Party MP Erion Braçe has commented on the procedures by which Mayor Erion Veliaj was dismissed and the decreeing of the date of the elections for the Municipality of Tirana.
Braçe said that, regardless of the decision that may have been taken due to the interest of the citizens of Tirana, the only way forward would be to respect the decision of the Constitutional Court.
" There is still time to respect this decision ," says Braçe, explaining the problems created in the capital due to the mayor's absence from duty.
Brace believes that, before reaching the municipal council or even further, the issue should have been discussed within the Socialist Party.
" It should have been an issue that was discussed within the Socialist Party, it was not an issue that had to be discussed with the contribution of all opponents or enemies, or call them whatever you want... In such cases, dignity is very important... to treat a person with dignity, even when you want to take him before the body of prosecutors and judges, even when you want to remove him, you have to treat him with dignity... " - says Braçe, among other things, in an interview for Tema.
