The fate of the commission depends on the PD, which, although it does not vote, is rumored to send the names of its members...
The Assembly is expected to vote today on the establishment of the famous anti-corruption commission, which will blow up the justice reform and put the constitutional bodies under control. The opposition has opposed it, but the test will be later, whether the opposition will send its representatives to the commission or not.
Yesterday, the draft decision on the establishment of the commission was revealed, and unlike any other commission, the composition seems to be defined in specific names. According to the draft, it will consist of 11 members, which are: Chairmen and Deputy Chairmen of the Permanent Commissions: for Legal Affairs, Public Administration and Human Rights (2); for Economy and Finance (2); for European Affairs (2); for Education and Public Information Means (2); and the National Council of European Integration (2).
If we go deeper, at the Laws Commission we have: Klotilda Bushka - Chairperson (SP), Dhurata Çupi (Tyli) - Vice Chairperson (PD); Commission for European Affairs: Jorida Tabaku - Chairperson (PD), Etilda Gjonaj - Vice Chairperson (SP); Committee for Economy and Finance: Eduard Shalsi - Chairman (SP), Sorina Koti - Vice-Chairman (DP); Committee for Education and Public Information Media: Flutura Açka - Chairperson (PD), Evis Kushi - Vice Chairperson (SP); National Council for European Integration: Jorida Tabaku, Chairperson; Mr. Toni Gogu , Vice President. Given that Tabaku appears twice, it is expected that DP will have another member.
Meanwhile, only the name of the chairman is missing, which according to sources will be Fatmir Xhafaj . So, these are the MPs, who seem to put the justice reform laws under the scanner and increase control over independent institutions. This is always if the DP decides to join, otherwise there will be only 6 names from the SP, who will try to stop the hegemony of SPAK. / Pamphlet
