Rama intensifies his commitment to the party by taking MPs out into the field and initiating internal reorganization, at a time when the elections are still far away and critical voices within the SP are growing...
Edi Rama seems to have neglected the government and in recent months all attention has been focused on the party. There have been several extended group meetings, the National Assembly was held, the Presidency has met several times, while branch-by-branch meetings have also begun.
Even today, in the Presidency of the Assembly where the meeting of the socialist parliamentary group was held, there was a long discussion about the reorganization of the party. According to information from "Pamphlet", Edi Rama has asked all deputies to go out into the field and meet as many socialists as possible. They have also been asked to increase membership and listen to the concerns of citizens. So these are the same messages that Rama gave on the eve of the campaign.
The SP has currently begun a reorganization process, but local elections are a year away, while parliamentary elections were held last year. Why is Rama so focused on the party?
The movements come at a time when critical voices in the PS have begun to reactivate. It has long been said that there is a lot of dissatisfaction in the PS and Erion Braçe and Elisa Spiropali have started to speak. On the other hand, dissatisfaction at the grassroots level has increased significantly. There are many socialists dissatisfied, especially with employment, as Rama is putting people from the DP into work. Polls show an increase in dissatisfaction and there are suspicions that Rama is trying to keep the pink electorate behind him.
But what adds to the doubts is that we are far from the elections and such a large organization is usually done on the eve of the elections. Is Rama thinking of some unpredictable scenario, while Brussels has blocked the negotiations? The DP insists on the technical government and early elections. Rama has ignored it, but it seems that something is worrying the prime minister.
" I was impressed by the commitment and desire to hear in every Assembly, in fact, about the affairs of Albania, unlike before when talking about the economy. You can feel from the atmosphere in the hall that there is an acceptance of the fact that the economy has entered a path that gives everyone hope that there is only improvement."
When it comes to salaries, it is very clear that people can verify themselves and the people around them. This is a challenge, and a challenge not for us, but for a political force that holds the fate of the country in its hands, so that we can close a series of chapters of history by sealing Albania's European belonging.
"We have entered this process to completely energize the SP in view of the local elections, because we are facing ourselves ," he said today at the group meeting, through a video he published in the media.
Whatever the case, it is certain that Rama knows that things are not going well. The fact that he is moving so quickly shows that the prime minister will reduce the dissatisfaction, which has begun to grow. /Pamphlet
