On July 29, Lulzim Basha and Gjergj Hani will ask the democrats to vote for them to lead the party. But this voting date and the entire party process followed during June by a part of the leadership of the Democratic party is opposed by another part headed by the general secretary, Gazment Bardhin.
This time too, as in the fall of 2021, the clash between the two groups is about the details. The pro-election leadership thinks it has the power to make the necessary changes in the party's base, while Bardhi and his supporters emphasize that such decision-making is anti-statutory.
On June 20, the PD National Council met, where the quorum, complete with the heads of the recently appointed branches, is opposed by the Bardhi group. The General Secretary together with the group of deputies who support him oppose the meeting of the Council on June 20, emphasizing that another composition of this party body appears in the Court.
This controversy may be the cause of a new clash in court between these two groups created in the last 4 weeks.
The Bardhi Group has warned that it will do a verification of the members who participated in the meeting of the National Council on June 20 and then there may be another meeting of the National Council where the decision-making so far by the presidency and the council will be rejected.
