The candidate of the "Together We Win" coalition for the municipality of Rrogozhina, Shkëlqim Hoxha, reacted after the decision of the Electoral College, which decided that the elections should be repeated in this municipality.
Hoxha said that they expected even more, since the request was to remove the board with the result of the prison and announce the result with the rest, but emphasized that the right went to the country. Hoxha also said that the citizens of Rrogozhina are ready to go to the elections again, while he expressed his confidence in victory.
" We expected even more, but the right went to the place because it was something very open and flagrant and the mayor could not be decided from a box created outside the rules and without a CEC decision. Our request was to remove the board with the result of the prison and announce the result with the rest, but it seems that the College has judged it this way and it was decided to repeat the elections by calling the prison box invalid and repeating the elections in the entire municipality.
I have come here with the support of the citizens and they have been the ones who have supported me every day. I think they are ready to go to the polls once again to elect the mayor. We had the main problem with the prison box because it was erected without a decision by the CEC and KZAZ. It's like a bunch of people getting together and saying let's set up a polling station. This was a flagrant violation. Then there were other violations, there were no campaign rules, money was allocated, roads were paved" , said Hoxha.
While being asked if complaints have been made about these violations, he said that this is the same as waging war with windmills.
" We expect the citizens' vote to go where it started. I am 100% convinced that we will have a better result and I will be declared the winner. There will be attempts and I am sure there will be, but we will do our job. But this time we know where the weak points are ," said Hoxha.
