The chairman of the parliamentary investigative committee for TIMS, Ervin Salianji, read today the declassified testimony of Ervin Muça, the former head of IT in the State Police, regarding the hacking of the entry-exit control system at the border crossing points.
Citing parts of the testimony, Salianji said that Muça accuses the senior leaders of the State Police of neglecting the reports that there was interference in TIMS and that the system was compromised. According to the democratic deputy, interventions in TIMS were made with the aim of erasing data and not registering persons with criminal records while crossing the border.
He further says that there are 5 passport numbers denounced by the former IT director which have passed without being registered.

The investigative work of the TIMS parliamentary commission ends on Tuesday, when the final report is expected to be presented, which will be sent to the Assembly of Albania in plenary session. The opposition requested the extension of the investigations by another 60 days, but the majority overthrew the proposal by a majority of votes, considering the investigation work of TIMS closed.
