The President of the Republic of Albania, Bajram Begaj, today received the Rapporteur for Albania in the European Parliament, Isabel Santos, in a meeting.
The focus of the meeting was the progress of the work of the Albanian Parliament, the European integration process of Albania, as well as regional cooperation.
President Begaj emphasized that it is very important to look at the past, evaluate the present and work for the future.
During the conversation, the Rapporteur for Albania in the European Parliament, Santos, evaluated the role of the President of the Republic as a balancing factor in the political life of Albania.
In the meeting, Albania's contribution and the country's positive engagement in foreign policy, in security issues as a NATO member, as well as in promoting peace and improving the lives of citizens in the region were appreciated.
In addition, the need for the reliability of the justice system was also emphasized, which would positively encourage foreign investments.
