The President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, has congratulated Muslim believers on the holiday of Eid al-Adha.
Through a post on social media, Begaj states that this is the day on which Muslim believers draw closer to God.
Begaj added that Eid al-Adha is inexhaustible proof of how sacrifice, patience, and love give people their inner peace and overcome selfishness, hatred, and insatiability.
"Eid al-Adha is the day on which Muslim believers draw closer to God, it is the celebration of the triumph of sincere sacrifice and faith in God.

Happy Eid al-Adha and may you be under God's protection!", writes Begaj.
Prime Minister Edi Rama has also congratulated Muslim believers on the holiday of Eid al-Adha.
"Happy Eid al-Fitr," Rama writes on Facebook.
Thousands of believers gathered on Friday morning at 06:15 on the "Martyrs of the Nation" Boulevard to pray the Eid al-Adha prayer.
The Eid al-Adha holiday is one of the two most important holidays for Muslims and symbolizes human sacrifice in the name of God as well as helping those who are less fortunate.
