In Vaqarr, a locomotive was not found to start the Bulgarian train. Following the Democratic Party's claims that 130,000 unused ballots were missing, the KAS verified 233 boxes in the warehouse in Vaqarr where election materials are stored. 99,455 ballots that were unused during the May 11 elections were found inside special boxes. By decision of two DP members in the KAS, the opening of 233 polling stations was ordered, where the commissioners had marked “zero” or “visa” in the special boxes specifying the unused ballots.
As the verification also showed, all unused ballots were found in the box, for which the CEC explained in a letter that 99,455 ballots were missing from 233 Voting Centers that were written with "zero" in the minutes. The CEC explained that the rest were 27,340 electronic ballots that were applied in 74 VCs and 5,368 unused in 1,380 VCs that were reflected with errors in some minutes. These figures, together with the over 99 thousand ballots found this Thursday during the verification in the CEC's electoral materials warehouse in Vaqarr, constitute the 130 thousand ballots that the DP claimed were used for the Bulgarian train.
Thus, the DP's alibi for manipulating the electoral process is refuted and the opening of the boxes once again proved that we are dealing with a human error on the part of the commissioners who, after the end of the elections, have noted zero unused ballot papers in the minutes and not the correct number for each respective box.
The request to open the boxes was supported only by the two opposition members of the KAS, Ledio Braho and Elvis Çefa. The verification process began in the early hours of the morning, from 09:00 and lasted until noon, where all 233 boxes for the 11 regions of the country, except for the Kukës region, were opened one by one.
The opening of the ballot boxes was monitored from the start by observers from the Socialist Party. The Democrats, who had raised this concern, did not bring monitors at the beginning of the process. The opposition envoys arrived at the CEC warehouse in Vaqarr approximately 3 hours later. They did not comment on the process./ Shqiptarja.com
