Ibsen Elezi, former head of the DP branch in Kukës, has criticized the way the largest opposition party organized and conducted primaries.
He considered the process not serious, while emphasizing that there was neither debate nor information about who was on the lists.
"The same problem that cannot be corrected if people are not aware that the policy of leadership must be changed to leave debate and politics in the hands of the membership. Thinking about serious primaries where there is no debate, no one knows the list, nor the branches. The most difficult thing is to introduce people according to the interests of one or the other. This is not fair play. Before talking about primaries, basic criteria must be determined for who participates. Clear rules of the game are also needed. There is no clear picture of who will run, how to act. They remember democracy as an order. These primaries with these standards turn into negativity. They want to put their people on the lists. They want to be prepared for any situation in the next assembly", Elezi said on Report TV.
But according to him, for this entire situation, the responsibility lies not only with Berisha, but also with those below him.
"The fault in such cases lies with all those who are part of the process. When everyone sees the process as abnormal, it doesn't make sense. There are people from the academic world, you enter the competition and you are not given the opportunity to come into contact with people. It is also the fault of those who say, 'What can we do? Raise your voice, that's all,'" says Elezi.
