Real Madrid has no intention of backing down from the Negreira case and has taken another step in this direction. The Madrid club has submitted to UEFA an extensive file of documents and evidence related to the case, also requesting disciplinary measures.
Several Spanish media outlets are reporting that Real Madrid's demands could be even stronger. According to them, the "merengues" club has asked UEFA to strip Barcelona of the trophies won during the period covered by the "Negreira" case, from 2001 to 2018, during which the Catalans won a total of 35 titles.
However, Real Madrid's official statement does not mention such a request. The club only confirms that it has requested the imposition of disciplinary measures, without providing specific details on the type of sanctions requested.
In addition, Real Madrid has requested that the Civil Guard provide other financial documents related to the investigation, including invoices, payment authorizations and audit reports of the companies involved.
The Madrid club remains determined to pursue the matter to the end, both from a legal and sporting perspective, demanding that all the details of this case be clarified.
