The Democratic Party is holding its third consecutive protest today outside the offices of Prime Minister Edi Rama, on 'Dëshmorët e Kombit' boulevard.
The protest in the format of a citizens' parliament is expected to start at 6:00 PM, while earlier, Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha said that they will not stop and will be weekly until the final goal is achieved.
In the first two protests, there was a very small turnout of opposition supporters, but it seems that this did not bother the Democrats led by Berisha, who has stated that this platform aims for citizens and MPs to have their say.
But despite the participation, the police have taken measures by blocking some of the road segments, as well as by engaging a large number of officers to protect the government building.
For today's protest, the traffic blockage on the boulevard has started from 3:00 PM until the end of the rally, while vehicle traffic will be prohibited in the segment starting from the Ministry of Interior to "Mother Teresa" Square.
Also, all roads connecting to "Dëshmorët e Kombit" Boulevard and "Mother Teresa" Square will be blocked.
Unlike previous protests, there is no metal fence in front of the Prime Minister's Office, and there is also a halving of the number of police officers involved in the rally. It is reported that about 300 police officers are involved in today's protest, down from 600 who were involved in the first two protests.
